Check-In & Access
How to arrive, access the house, and get settled at The Fernweh House.
Check-in is a smooth, self-guided process. No front desk, no waiting — just your code and the door.
Arrival
Check-in time is 3:00 PM. You'll receive your personal door code via the Airbnb or Wander messaging system before your stay. Keep it handy — and share it with your group so no one gets locked out.
Smart Lock (Yale)
To unlock: Enter your provided access code on the digital keypad touchscreen, then press Enter or the unlock button.
To lock: Simply tap the keypad where the Yale logo is located. This activates the locking mechanism. The door also locks automatically 5 minutes after closing.
Parking
Up to 3 cars fit on the gravel driveway. Additional vehicles may park on the street. Please do not park on the grass.
Once Inside
- —Wi-Fi network details are on the kitchen counter card
- —The smart home control panel is in the kitchen — use it for lights, music, and temperature
- —Towels, robes, and linens are all set for your stay
- —If anything seems off, contact us right away — we're responsive
