House Rules
Policies and expectations for your stay at The Fernweh House.
We want your stay to be wonderful. These rules protect the home, respect the neighbors, and keep the experience great for everyone.
Guests
Only the number of guests listed on your reservation are permitted at the property. No additional overnight guests without prior written approval.
Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Please keep music, voices, and outdoor activity at a respectful level during this time. We have neighbors we care about.
No Smoking
Smoking of any kind — tobacco, marijuana, e-cigarettes, vapes, or other substances — is strictly prohibited inside and immediately around the home. A $1,000 fine applies. If you wish to smoke, please do so away from the structure.
No Pets
No pets are permitted. A $1,000 fine applies for unauthorized animals. If you have a question about a specific situation, contact us before booking.
No Parties or Events
The Fernweh House is a private retreat, not an event venue. Parties, large gatherings, and events beyond your booked guest count are not permitted without prior written approval. See our Events & Filming policy for more detail.
Respect the Home
- —Treat the home as you would your own — with care
- —Do not remove anything from the house that you did not bring
- —Do not alter or remove security or monitoring equipment
- —Report any damage immediately — accidents happen; we appreciate honesty
Fireplace & Hot Tub
Both require reading the guide pages before use. Please don't skip the instructions — especially for the fireplace.
